SALT LAKE CITY (August 06, 2008) — Media Corp Inc. announced that Allen Communication Learning Services was a two time spring 2008 winner of the coveted Omni Intermedia Award. The entries for each category “are evaluated for overall excellence in a specific genre.” AllenComm won two Bronze Awards in the Educational and Internal Communication categories for courseware projects developed for the American Diabetes Association and Wachovia, respectively. Winners are listed at: www.omniawards.com/winnerscircle.html.
For the first course, AllenComm and the American Diabetes Association covered key volunteer training issues. In this course, volunteers learn how to navigate riders through the Tour de Cure registration. With the second award winning course, AllenComm developed an e-learning program for Wachovia that decreased turnover by addressing drivers of engagement and retention throughout the teller employment cycle.
The criteria for multi-media were based on seven areas of interest: creativity, graphics, programming, ease of use, functionality, audio, special effects, and impact. Every entry was judged based on this set of criteria by three independent judges. With the addition of these two recent awards, Allen has garnered a total of 33 awards in the past seven years for custom courseware covering virtually every topic from compliance to executive training, as well as being recognized by several independent analysts as a custom training outsourcing industry leader.
“It’s been a privilege helping such high-caliber clients like Wachovia and the American Diabetes Association to garner this recognition,” stated Brent Verhaaren, Allen’s Director of Marketing. “Winning awards gives us a lot of satisfaction because it’s an unbiased indicator that we’re producing high-quality work for our clients.”
