Communicator Awards - Consumer EducationAllen’s innovative education strategies and agency-quality media create unique consumer education experiences.

SALT LAKE CITY, (June 13, 2014) -Allen Communication has been recognized with four Communicator Awards for “big ideas in marketing and communication.” Allen’s awards are in the category of Interactive Multimedia for educational projects demonstrating new approaches to marketing.

Linda Day, executive director of the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA), which hand-selects the winners said, “This year’s class of entries is a true reflection of the progressive and innovative nature of marketing and communications.” Allen’s entries demonstrate this progressive nature by connecting marketing and learning principles to create innovative and interactive customer experiences across key customer touch points, helping significantly improve traditional content marketing strategies.

The award-winning projects include a gamified, global brand stewardship initiative; an incentive-based product knowledge program; a retail service game; and a how-to video series focused on improving an online customer experience. With similar objectives of improving marketing ROI and brand affinity, each project merged content creation, media design, and learner experience innovation.

“We are seeing an increased need for marketing practices and educational strategies to be woven together,” said Ron Zamir, Allen CEO. “Consumers demand immediate, valuable, relevant, and personalized education from the brands they identify with.” Zamir adds that these educational strategies, when executed correctly, provide strong ROI at a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising.

As consumer education becomes a more critical part of content marketing strategies, Allen is helping its clients control the top-performing educational content within their respective industries—content that is increasingly important in buying and brand loyalty behaviors. This approach allows companies to scale messaging across external customers, internal audiences, and partner organizations.

Building on these award-winning successes, Allen is continuing to focus on the intersection of consumer education, content marketing, and learner experience design.
