Nurses clearly faced unprecedented challenges during the Covid-19 global pandemic. So, when the national voice for more than 10,000 professional nursing leaders, The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), asked for a solution to empower frontline healthcare workers, we listened.

AONL needed a compendium of relevant tools and resources to lead effectively during times of crisis. In response, the AllenComm team helped develop the critical collection of resources, called Leading Through Crisis: A Resource Compendium for Nurse Leaders, to meet those needs and be succinct, easily accessible, and prevent overwhelm.

“AONL is pleased to provide this toolkit to help nurse leaders find the balance, strength and stamina needed to lead with confidence and care in times such as this.”

Robyn Begley, CEO, American Organization for Nursing Leadership

AONL partnered with AllenComm to create the first three modules in the compendium, which were built in ten business days. The four brief online modules in the compendium have been designed to equip nurse leaders with practical tips and effective strategies for addressing challenges unique to a crisis.

Supported by an unrestricted educational grant from the Johnson & Johnson Foundation in partnership with the Johnson & Johnson Center for Health Worker Innovation, the compendium’s resources are also beneficial to nurses in clinical roles and other clinical leaders.
