Allen Communication honored with multiple Davey Awards by the International Academy of the Visual Arts

November 9, 2011

Leader in custom training industry recognized for courses developed in conjunction with The Risk Management Association, Talaris Institute and Lockheed Martin.

SALT LAKE CITY (November 9, 2011) — Allen Communication Learning Services is pleased to be the winners of three 2011 Davey Awards, announced recently by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. The Davey Awards honor the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide.

Chosen from nearly 4,000 entries from across the US and around the world, Allen won Silver awards for its work with three premier customers; The Risk Management Association, Talaris Institute and Lockheed Martin. The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 200-plus member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts.

“The Davey Awards serves as the benchmark for recognizing creative excellence and continues to raise the bar in honoring the best work from small agencies and firms worldwide” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA. “Congratulations to the ‘Creative Davids’ at the forefront of their industry, helping to push the limits in creativity and design.”

“The innovative approaches employed in the development of our content has breathed new, exciting life into our subject matter and created additional opportunities for us to address the needs of our members,” said Mark Zmiewski, Director, Enterprise Risk and Product Management for The Risk Management Association.

Though the focus of the custom training courses varied, all three were recognized for their creativity, interactivity and impact on end-user performance. Allen has 30 years of experience developing this type of cutting-edge, custom, highly impactful training for companies across the globe.

“The Talaris online training is innovative on so many levels – it’s the first of its kind in the early learning field,” said Katie Simons, Executive Director for Talaris Institute. “Thanks to this course, childcare providers, home visitors, parent educators and other professionals will have access to interactive, high quality, research-based information that will improve outcomes for young children.”

“Here at Allen, we have an amazingly creative team that leverages the best in emerging technology to address the training needs of our customers,” said Ron Zamir, CEO of Allen. We’re very proud of the innovation in instructional design, graphic design and technology that our team continues to deliver to help our customers positively impact the behavior of their end-users.
