Farmers Insurance tops annual list of 125 companies that apply best practices to training their employees.
SALT LAKE CITY (March 3, 2011) — The Allen Communication Learning Services team extends their congratulations to Farmers Insurance Group for earning the #1 ranking in Training Magazine’s Top 125 for 2011.
According to Training, their Top 125 ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
“This honor doesn’t come as a surprise to us at Allen, having worked on training programs with Farmers,” said Ron Zamir, Chief Executive Officer at Allen Communication. “When companies with a real appreciation for the value of good training utilize their resources they’re able to achieve higher peaks in employee performance.”
Farmers received this recognition from Training for their proactive training strategy and accomplishments in 2010. In their February 2011 edition, Training wrote about the expansion of the University of Farmers program; Farmers training 2,500 new claims employees that came onboard after the acquisition of the fourth-largest direct writer of auto insurance in the US; and Farmers investing in a $250 million internal software upgrade that necessitated the training 29,000 agents and staff.
Allen Communications is pleased to have worked with Farmers’ training professionals to develop various employee development courses for their University of Farmers program. The courses Allen designed with Farmers have ranged from web-based training that taught 15,000 Farmers’ agents and their staff how to use new account management software; and a series of business builder courses to improve selling techniques.
