SALT LAKE CITY (March 19, 2009) — In today’s economy, Training and Development departments must be smart with every dollar, particularly when it comes to maintaining and updating content. To try and help clients, AllenComm has developed a suite of courseware maintenance tools. Now, clients can update and maintain their custom courses originally created by AllenComm, saving them time and money and extending the shelf life of their custom courses.
Based on AllenComm’s robust XML and Flash authoring environment to develop courses for clients, AllenComm is changing the rules of the custom courseware market. Currently when it comes time for updates, clients would need to return to their custom courseware provider. The AllenComm updating and maintenance tool is a first of a suite of tools that will help bridge the gap between internal and external training groups.
Now companies can enjoy the instructional design provided by AllenComm and utilize these tools independently, updating courseware rapidly as information changes or becomes outdated. Based on a simple interface, clients do not change the basic design of the course but are able to fully update existing content, graphics, and audio in a much simpler fashion than authoring environments. By using these maintenance tools, clients will be able to maintain their courses easily and quickly without needing IT experience or having to outsource.
“AllenComm’s philosophy is to provide better service to clients, especially in this down economy, to allow them to concentrate more time and money on the training itself,” states Ron Zamir, CEO of Allen Communication Learning Services. “As a 27-year-old company in the custom training arena, we believe it is time to empower our customer to do more and extend the value of the creative services they receive from us. Much like our Learning portals that provide LMS functionality without the per user license fee, our new maintenance tools create value and cost savings for our clients.”
