Allen Develops Pharmacovigilance Software Training for Major Pharmaceutical

SALT LAKE CITY (April 23, 2007) — Allen Communication Learning Services strengthens its pharmacovigilance training presence by signing on to develop a new Argus systems training course for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. This partnership marks the second major Argus training initiative AllenComm has completed in the last two years.

To address mounting safety and compliance requirements, pharmaceuticals are turning to the Argus safety system, the leading software system for pharmacovigilance and risk management. Required to maintain comprehensive coverage of integrated safety and data management, including regulation compliance, pharmaceuticals recognize the need to ensure existing and new employees are thoroughly trained on safety software systems.

Tasked to develop a custom blended learning systems training solution, AllenComm will be creating courseware that the client’s employees can participate in as often as needed. This solution helps improve comprehension while reducing errors and facilitates a smooth transition into the Argus system.

“Basically, we created a bridge that moves our client’s employees into the Argus system safely and effectively through see it, try it, do it training,” says Ron Zamir, President of Allen Communication. “We determined from our needs assessment that learners want a chance to immediately apply what they’ve learned. This course allows them to do so and to quickly demonstrate mastery if they understand what to do. We’re excited to partner with a pharmaceutical leader dedicated to improving pharmacovigilance via effective complex systems training. Improving human performance in such a crucial area is highly satisfying.”
