Custom Software Systems Training
Over our long history, we've had the opportunity to help numerous clients get the most from their software systems, whether proprietary or third party. Below are examples of some training initiatives we've created for training on software systems.
Aetna: MSW SUBS/MEMB Screens
This course familiarizes Aetna customer service representatives with the various fields and features of two MSW screens, the SUBS and MEMB screens. Knowledge of these screens helps employees provide better service to every caller and become a more effective by responding to customer claims and other requests quickly and effectively.

Caldera: Why Linux
This course taught learners about how the Linux operation system can be used to enhance the business environment and productivity.
Cambridge: Claims Management in Ovation Claim
This award-winning course was created to assist in the rollout of a new enterprise-wide claims processing system. Cambridge claims processors are already familiar with similar software systems, but Ovation Claim provides a standard platform for the whole company. Since training on software can be pretty dry, another major purpose of the course was to use a theme interesting to the audience and appropriate to the content—not just a theme for theme's sake. Their first foray into e-learning, the success of the course combined with positive audience responses were crucial to creating momentum for further e-learning initiatives.
Capital One: Odyssey Systems Training
This Rapid Content Development (RCD) course taught employees at Capital One how to add a person to an existing account in the Odyssey Account Service system. The course included screenshots that allowed employees to see what the system would look like when they began using it.
Citibank: Auto FX
This course familiarized the participant with Citibank’s AutoFX system (Auto Foreign Exchange) and detailed the features and benefits of the system. The course was broken into seven concise and easily navigated lessons with activities and screen shots interspersed throughout to engage the learner.

CKE Restaurants: StarPOS
Created using Rapid Content Development, this course taught managers and supervisors of CKE restaurants (Carl's Jr.) how to configure the StarPOS (menu ordering system). Two types of activities make this course both fun and challenging for the trainee. "See It" activities are animations that show how to perform a task within StarPOS Configurator. "Try It" activities are hands-on exercises simulating the StarPOS Configurator. The "Try It" activities have step-by-step instructions and simulate the real StarPOS system allowing employees to lean the process of order, substitutions, promotions and other important functions.
CKE Restaurants: Vendor Request Form
Designed using Rapid Content Development, this course instructs managers of Carl's Jr. restaurants how to use software that allows them to access the vendor creation application and then how to complete the application pages correctly.
FranklinCovey: Palm Handheld Basics
This course was designed to introduce users to the Palm Handheld device. The course walked users through the basic features of the Palm Handheld and taught them how to get the most out of their Palm Handheld. Learners were also introduced to Graffiti script, the writing program used by Palm Handheld as well as Hotsyncing, and the IrDA port.
FranklinCovey: Powerful Time Management Skills
This award-winning course helps participants improve personal effectiveness by enhancing their Palm Handhelds with Franklin Planner Software. The Planner Basics section contains a short simulation for using Tasks and Appointments.

Inovis: Inovis.net Tutorial
Created with Rapid Content Development, this course introduced the user to Inovis’ new web interface for managing business commerce automation. The course included a full tutorial and a shorter quick start that let learners choose whether they wanted a more detailed interaction or a faster introduction.
Johnson Controls: BES Training
This course, created using Rapid Content Development, introduced “shop floor” employees to the Battery Enterprise System software. The course covered logging in and navigating in BES using a thin client or handheld device.
Large Pharmaceutical (name withheld by request): Argus Safety Case Processing
This course taught ARGUS safety case processing to our client’s employees. The course included rich color, stunning graphics, music and narration along with step-by-step instructions and a do-it-yourself practice section.

Rockwell Collins: RecruitSoft Ready Reference
The RecruitSoft Ready Refrence electronic performance support system contains three sections. The first section explains what RecruitSoft does and provides information regarding other Recruitsoft resources. The second section guides hiring managers and administrative assistants through the steps of creating a requisition in RecruitSoft by using the appropriate SAP job templates. The final section contains information for hiring managers on how to view existing requisitions within RecruitSoft. The section also discusses how to track the progress of a requisition, and how to communicate with recruiters and HR generalists.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: Finance Administration
Created with Rapid Content Development, this course provided area controllers at the LDS Church and their staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement FMAT (Facilities Management Automated Tools) and perform finance functions. The course also provided ongoing refresher training and new employee orientation.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: Finance Support Course
This course, created using Rapid Content Development, was the second in a series designed to provide area controllers at the LDS Church and their staff with the skills and knowledge to use features of FMAT (Facilities Management Automated Tools) and perform finance functions necessary to facilities management operation.
United Airlines: Ted Airlines
This course was developed by a small team from United Airlines mentored by Allen and using Rapid Content Development templates. By the end of this course, participants understood the differences in policies and procedures between Ted and mainline flying, knew the locations of safety and video equipment onboard, and were able to use the handheld device that is used when selling food onboard.
