Maytag Value Stream Mapping and Analysis
This course was designed to teach the learner the value and purpose of value stream mapping, how to read a value stream map and how to use value stream mapping & analysis as a planning tool. This hour-long course divides the mapping process into six steps. Throughout the course, the principal elements of value stream mapping (VSM) are illustrated through real-life examples and scenarios. Additionally, learners can apply VSM concepts to their own projects and work processes.
Rockwell Collins: Core Processes
Description: This FastFlex course introduces employees to the core process of the Rockwell Collins value stream, including strategic and financial planning, pursuit and order capture, design and development, build and service, and support.
Rockwell Collins: Design to Cost
This training helped familiarize Rockwell Collins employees with the basics of the Design to Cost application, along with its philosophical rooting. The goal of the course was to provide employees with the tools and resources to apply DTC in their development efforts.
Rockwell Collins: Life Cycle Value Stream Management Overview
This award-winning course provided a high level overview of a new enterprise-wide business model, Life Cycle Value Stream Management. This blended learning course included a one-hour e-learning session to be presented in conjunction with the LCVSM Handbook.
Rockwell Collins: Value Stream Mapping and Analysis
This hour-long Rapid Content Development (RCD) course was designed to teach managers the value and purpose of value stream mapping and analysis. We developed a blended learning solution with an online training module taught in conjunction with and instructor-led workshop as part of a larger certification program. The popularity of the course among management led to an eventual rollout to a much larger audience. Additionally, Allen built in assessment and tracking that interfaced with Rockwell Collins’ learning management system (LMS).
