Flash/Actionscript Developer


Allen Communication Learning Services (ACLS) is seeking a uniquely talented individual to join our team. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with strict AS 2.0 and object-oriented programming as well as communicating with internal and external client team members.

As a Flash/Actionscript Developer, you will be responsible for all complex programming needs – from simulation development to designing innovative tools that improve the flexibility and quality of the training courses we develop.

Responsibilities
Tasks will include but are not limited to:

   > Consult on technical needs for proposed projects
   > Communicate with internal and external client team members
   > Determine technical specifications and minimum platforms for online training
   > Produce interactive activity templates in DHTML and Flash
   > Develop custom animations, simulations, and other complex learning activities based upon design specifications
   > Edit audio, video, and other media elements for optimum Web delivery
   > Follow AICC and SCORM standards for data connectivity in LMS environments


Requirements
Our ideal candidate possesses the following skills, characteristics and personality traits:

   > Ability to develop classes, sub-classes and components for Flash applications and a solid understanding of the use of inheritance and interfaces in classes
   > Experience defining, accessing, and organizing class packages
   > Ability to use event listeners and exception handling in innovative ways to maximize interactivity opportunities and streamline development cycles
   > Comfort with the Flash timeline and tools to import and edit graphics and manipulate movie clips
   > 2-3 years of expert-level work in Flash, Dreamweaver, Captivate, etc. (Please note that this is not a position in graphic design)
   > Expert knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, and Web technologies in general
   > Proficiency in C#, C++, XML, Visual Studio.NET (Windows and Web-based applications), Web Services, and Database Management
   > Familiarity with (or aptitude for) Adobe Photoshop, Sorenson Squeeze, and Sonic Foundry SoundForge
   > Degree in relevant field, and/or four years (minimum) relevant industry experience
