Allen Communication Learning Services Wins Two International Davey Awards for Custom Training

SALT LAKE CITY (December 09, 2008) — With over 4,000 entries from across the US and around the world, it’s no wonder AllenComm felt honored to accept two silver awards for their creative work in custom courseware and marketing. The Davey Awards privileges the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide.

With the custom training entry, AllenComm partnered with Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. to develop a branched simulation training course for executives to increase best business practices in Toyota’s business procedures. For the integrated marketing entry, the marketing team at AllenComm developed a business to business campaign that used banner ads, print ads, and a microsite to funnel activity to the main website.

“Winning Davey Awards for both our client and internal work is significant for us,” states Brent Verhaaren, Director of Marketing for Allen Communication Learning Services. “It shows our professionalism, technology and creativity emanate from all aspects of our work as a company. Being listed with the some of the country’s most creative vendors and projects is truly an honor.”

The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 200+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Entries are judged to evaluate distinction in creative work. In determining Gold and Silver winners, entries are judged on their merits based on a standard of excellence as determined by the IAVA, considering the category entered.

“The International Academy of the Visual Arts was honored to have once again participated in the International Davey Awards competition. We were truly amazed and excited at the overall caliber and quality of this year’s pool of entries” notes Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA. “The Davey Awards serves as the benchmark for recognizing creative excellence and continues to raise the bar in honoring the best work from small agencies and firms worldwide. Congratulations to the ‘Creative Davids’ at the forefront of their industry, helping to push the limits in creativity and design.”
