SALT LAKE CITY (November 13, 2008) — Growing exponentially since 1999, a premier direct sales company recognized their continued growth would rely on each of their representative’s ability to quickly gain solid understanding of good sales practices and customer service. As a result, the retailer has teamed with Allen Communication Learning Services to create high-level training focused on growing sales knowledge.

Once the company made a strategic decision to improve sales by focusing on individual training, they realized they wanted to blend technology with a personal approach and turned to Allen for ideas on developing successful programs for adult learners.

As they had a tight timeline, the company challenged Allen to quickly ramp up on their values and integrate those values into specific content. Additionally, Allen was charged with building the courseware entirely in Lectora. Consequently, Allen designed a blended approach using web-based training authored in Lectora and ILT courses where learners could practice the lessons learned during the online sessions. The strategy helped representatives to clearly align the client’s principles and goals while increasing retention and sales savvy.
