SALT LAKE CITY (November 29, 2007) — This week, Media Corp Inc. announced that Allen Communication Learning Services was a two time fall 2007 winner of the coveted Omni Intermedia Award. The award recognizes “outstanding media productions that engage, empower and enlighten.” Allen won an Omni Silver in Medical and an Omni Bronze in Internal Communication for courseware projects developed for AHRQ and Avon, respectively. The Omni Silver award winning course was created by Allen for AHRQ, and covered key medical training issues. In the course, learners—healthcare providers, patients and researchers—learn how to use and navigate a crucial database: the HCUP database. The Omni Bronze award winning course was produced in conjunction with a large courseware library Allen has developed for Avon’s Sales Representatives. “Communicating with Your Downline” taught Avon Sales Representatives different methods for reaching out to and encouraging fellow representatives on lower tiers.
The criteria for multi-media were based on seven areas of interest: creativity, graphics, programming, ease of use, functionality, audio, special effects, and impact. Every entry was judged based on this set of criteria by three independent judges. With the addition of these two recent awards, Allen has won a total of four Omni Awards since 2000 for developing custom courseware on healthcare systems, sales and marketing, and persity training. Additionally, Allen has garnered a total of 30 awards in the past seven years for custom courseware covering virtually every topic from custom compliance training to executive training, as well as being recognized by several independent analysts as a custom training outsourcing industry leader.
