The International Davey Award Announces 2009 Winners

Amway Global Education and Training and Allen Communication Learning Services Win Silver

New York, NY (November 16, 2009) — The winners of The 2009 Davey Awards have been announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts today. With over 4,000 entries from across the US and around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide. Please visit www.daveyawards.com to view the full winners list.

Amway Global Education and Training (Amway) and Allen Communication Learning Services (Allen) teamed to create a 30-minute web-based training (WBT) course titled “Growing Kids with NUTRILITE® Products.” The purpose of this course was to motivate and empower distributors to increase their sales of Children’s NUTRILITE products. For engaging graphics and realistic sales scenarios, “Growing Kids” was awarded a Silver for its creativity in corporate training.

The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 200+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. See www.iavisarts.org for more information.

“We were once again excited to honor and recognize the amazing work submitted into this year’s Davey Awards and are humbled by the exceptional work we have grown accustomed to seeing year after year. This year’s competition saw an increasing diversified pool of entries and the high quality of work continues to push the limits of creative possibilities throughout the industry,” noted Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA. She added “Even in these tough economic times, we continue to see top notch, high quality work being submitted, which is a true testament to the dedication and capabilities of our entrants. On behalf of the entire Academy, congratulations to our winners and thank you to all of this year’s entrants for your contributions and commitment to the advancement of the Visual Arts.”

Tina Dooley, MSA, RD of Amway said, “Given the fact that NUTRILITE is the world’s leading children’s brand of vitamin, mineral and dietary supplements based on 2008 sales, it was important to partner with a vendor who could incorporate engaging graphics and design into our realistic sales scenarios. This level of engagement and partnership gave our sales force the performance support and tools necessary to help build their business with one of the leading brands of supplements in the world. Working with Allen Communication Learning Services allowed us to accomplish this very task.”
